About Church Bells By Carrie Underwood
“Church Bells” is a song by American singer and songwriter Carrie Underwood, featured on her fifth studio album Storyteller. “Church Bells” topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, marking Underwood’s 15th number-one on that chart and extending her record as the female artist with the most number-ones in the chart’s history.
Church Bells tells the story of Jenny, a poor young woman who marries a wealthy oilman. She quickly discovers, however, that her new husband is a violent alcoholic. Jenny contaminates his drink with an untraceable poison and kills him.

Church Bells Sample Lyrics
She could hear those church bells ringing, ringing
And up in the loft, that whole choir singing, singing
Fold your hands and close your eyes
Yeah, it’s all gonna be alright
And just listen to the church bells ringing, ringing
Yeah, they’re ringing
How To Download And Create Your Own Ringtone
Smartphones can alert you when you have a new call or message by making almost any sound. But you’ll need to get that sound before you can set it. You can record a clip on your phone, take a piece from a song or video file, or use a special app to find a ready-made ringtone. Then, change it into a format that most people use. Because MP3 is so popular, it is a good choice.
If you want to record sound on your phone, try Voice Recorder on Android or Voice Record Pro on iOS.
If you want to cut a piece out of a longer song or video, you’ll need an audio editor like Audacity, which is free and works on both Windows and Mac. Move the file you want to change or edit to your computer, open it as a new track in Audacity, convert it, and save it as an MP3.
You can use the reliable online tool Zamzar to convert a file without editing it.
Android Directions
Before setting a new ringtone or alert on an Android phone, you have to put the tone file on the phone. Then you have to put it in the right folder on your Android. Choose Ringtones if you want to use the sound as a ringtone (for other alerts).
You can email the file to your phone, sync it with an app like Google Drive or Dropbox, or connect your phone to a computer and drag the file to your phone. Once it’s on your phone, different apps give you different ways to put it in the right folder: For example, in Dropbox for Android, you choose the track, tap the menu button (three dots) in the top right corner, choose Save to Device, and then move to the right location.
Once you’ve moved the file, you’ll need to restart your phone, so it can find the new audio file in the right folder. To make that sound your new default ringtone, go to Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone.
Here, you can choose the main ringtone for your phone. If you saved your custom clip in the right folder and in a format that works, like MP3, it should appear in this list.
iOS Directions
iOS is a bit more picky than Android, so the only way to move an audio file to your iPhone is to put it on iTunes on your computer and then sync the app. To get started, open iTunes on Windows or macOS, click File > Add File to Library, and find the clip you want to use as a ringtone or alert.
Once you have it in iTunes, go to File > Convert > Create AAC Version. This will copy your audio in a format that your iPhone can understand.
If the only option you see is Create MP3 Version and not Create AAC Version, you need to change the iTunes import settings. Click Import Settings on the General tab of Edit > Preferences (on Windows) or iTunes > Preferences (on macOS). In the Import Using menu, make sure that the AAC Encoder option is chosen.
You can use iTunes to make a good ringtone from any song in your library while converting files to AAC. Right-click on a song in iTunes, choose Song Info, and then use the Options > Start and Options > Stop timings to highlight the part of the song you want to use as a ringtone. Then, go to File > Convert > Create AAC Version on the clip.
Only the highlighted part will be in the new file when you make the AAC version. When you’re done, don’t forget to change the timing of the original song.
Now that your song is an AAC file, you need to change its extension, so iTunes knows you want to use it as a ringtone. Choose the track, then go to File > Show in Windows Explorer (on Windows) or File > Show in Finder (on Mac) (on macOS). Change the ending to.m4r, which stands for “ringtone.”
Connect your iPhone to iTunes, open the Tones pane for your device from the menu on the left, and drag the newly made track into the empty space. The AAC copy can then be removed from your iTunes library. You can also delete the original MP3 unless you used a small piece of a song that you want to keep listening to.
The last step is to set the new sound as an alert or ringtone. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics in iOS. On the next screen, you can set the default ringtone and the default alerts for new emails, text messages, calendar events, and other things.
In your list of possible sounds, you should see all the files you added using the above method, as well as the phone’s built-in sounds and something called Tone Store. Use the second one if you want to buy a ringtone from the iTunes Store. There are many song clips to choose from, most of which cost $1 each.
